The name Joi isn’t an accident. It’s really the whole reason this practice exists. I wanted to bring joy back into people’s lives, and I kept seeing that joy and health are deeply connected. When people feel good in their bodies, when they’re not held back by joint pain, low energy, or just not feeling like themselves, that changes everything else in their life.
I started Joi Med to provide truly individualized, regenerative care that helps people feel young and alive again, not just manage symptoms. It’s all connected. When you look good and feel good, and your body is actually functioning the way it should, that’s when real joy comes back into your life.

Joia Adams, DO

Osteopathic Physician

Dr. Adams is the Medical Director of Joi Med Wellness & Aesthetics. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences, completed her internal medicine residency in Southern California, and is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her approach to care is rooted in osteopathic, whole-person principles, focusing on treating the body as a connected system rather than addressing individual symptoms alone. Whether you’re seeking help with a skin concern or a possible hormonal imbalance, Dr. Adams takes the time to understand your medical history and bloodwork before developing a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Hitomi Asano, L.Ac., DAOM

Board-certified and trained at Emperor’s College, Dr. Asano blends Western and Oriental medicine for whole-person care. She’s a published researcher, co-author of a systematic review on acupuncture for chronic low back pain, and trained specifically in cosmetic acupuncture with Amanda Shayle of AcuRegen after clinical work in Hackensack Meridian Health’s Integrative Health and Medicine Department.
